- Grip Size- it needs to be comfortable in your hands, so you don’t either squeeze the life out of the club or get too loose; both lead to accuracy issues
- Overall Weight- controlled through the shaft, as it has the most variance. If a club’s too heavy, you won’t get your max distance; if it’s too light, you risk losing accuracy. It’s a blend, and it needs to suit your personal “golf strength”
- Swing Weight- head heft; again, it needs to suit how strong you are. Being able to feel the head through the swing helps develop a more consistent swing tempo
- Shaft Flex- When this matches your swing speed and transition (where the backswing stops and the downswing starts), you get a better sense of swing rhythm. When teamed up with swing weight (and a “sweet spot” impact), the right combination for you gives that “I felt that in my soul!” feeling at impact.
